Wastegates



Wastegates, also referred to as Exhaust Bypass Valves, are necessary in many turbocharger systems to manage speed or compressor discharge pressure (boost) during certain conditions of a flight. Managed through a controller, the opening wastegate allows exhaust gas to bypasses the turbocharger, limiting speed and boost. HET produces two categories of wastegate valves a poppet style and a butterfly style.
